Rodels are typically sold with traditional steel runners or, in the case of Lindauer, runners are priced separately. Most of our rodels come with the most advanced runner system on the planet, interchangeable Concorde runners (on either of two retainer profiles). Trust us- this a’int the Alps and you have to get composite eventually, just like skis, and they are rare as hen’s teeth. Steel is an available downgrade on Lindauer Tops, not Swifts. Our Utah Rodel/Torggler sleds are equipped with steel, but we have a wide range of composite runners available for them as well. It is best to contact me with questions. I recognize this disparity in pricing is confusing and will be simplifying it in the near future, but it should be noted that selling rodels is a terrible business plan because they are handmade, artisan items for which there is no wholesale price.
