RODEL ADVENTURE
Rodel Sales & Training from Rodel USA
INTRODUCING
THE RODEL
Our objective at Rodel USA is to introduce sport rodeling to American resorts via a dedicated rodelbahn track 3-5 miles in length and to sell sport rodels to your resort to be deployed as rentals for your guests. Rodelbahns will serve as a signature draw to your resorts. Each resort’s terrain will allow for a completely different guest experience making your rodelbahn a truly unique adventure that will draw in guests from all over the world.
In partnering with Rodel USA, your resort introduces a low-impact rental sporting option to provide an inclusive new mountain activity for your guests. We also provide marketing, social media, demo days and opening week events such as “The Biggest Luger” Competition!

THE RODEL
CHANGES EVERYTHING.
A sport rodel sits on two P-Tex ski runners with metal edges, is flexible, highly maneuverable, and easily controlled by anybody in a manner similar to riding a horse. The flexibility of the sport rodel is just one of the many things that separate it from the traditional leisure rodels you see in Europe. Like all things worth doing, there is a learning curve, though not nearly as steep as that of skiing or snowboarding. You do start by sitting down after all! Sport rodeling is essentially sitting on your skis and descending the mountain using your entire body to steer. Widespread throughout Europe, leisure rodelers at times account for up to 40% of resort guests - particularly in Switzerland and Austria. Resorts see up to 1,500 rental rodelers a day during the busy season.

THE EVOLUTION
OF RODELING
The Swiss have historically taken the sport of sledding seriously with leisure rodels, davos sleds and schlittens. As the thrill of skiing has slowly declined in Europe, the Swiss are innovating again with the development of the sport rodel. As the sport rodel spreads across the world, people will move from standing on skis to sitting as it is low impact, uses the entire body to steer and allows for a more athletic and social experience on the slopes.
